We do a lot of stone foundation repair throughout the state of Michigan and we are always looking for solid people to join our Team. Tuck pointing is a large part of the work we do as far as time spent on projects. It takes a while, it’s kind of tedious, but it adds a ton of value to certain stone foundations and we do a lot of it. General concrete or masonry labor experience is a plus but some of the best guys we’ve had, started with none. Use the Contact form on this website to send us a Note if you’re interested.
**** We use small 2 man crews a majority of the time and those crews operate independently for the most part. A crew leader will earn about $1200 a week and a helper will earn about $800 before bonuses which amount another 25% repectively.
Retired Masons
I’m adding a project coordinator position I’m also interested in connecting with retired masons who are looking for part-time work. Tuckpointing, overseeing projects, working with customers etc. I think this particular position would be great for someone who is interested in working 10-15 hours a week. You’re basically just following up on in process projects, inspecting work and closing out projects. Helping with estimates is also an option for the Role.
Tuck Pointing Project Forman Position
Like I said, We do a lot of stone foundation repair in Michigan and a good portion of those projects are tuck pointing stone basement walls. Physically speaking, these types of projects are one of the “easiest” things a mason can do, especially on the interior walls of a Michigan stone basement. It’s not difficult, but it can be tedious. We do them all over the state. I would prefer to add a Tuck Pointing Foreman in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, and one in southeastern Michigan. Get in touch you feel you might be a fit.
Another Angle……. As I’ve gotten older, I’m just not a fan of staying away from home, so I’m reaching out to connect with someone who would see this opportunity as a blessing. A retired concrete man, brick layer, mason, laborer or stone mason would be a perfect fit. You would need to work unsupervised and likely supervise one other helper. This could be a part-time or full time position. Part time would look more like per project type position. It would look something like: ” Hey I’ve got a 4 day project in such-and-such a town, is this something you’d like to do? Pay Range: $25-$40 per hour plus bonus
Concrete Finisher Per Project Position
If you are a good finisher and are interested in helping per project that would fit nicely into our company right now. This would be a position where you’d get paid by the day or project. If you can add value in this way, you would be paid well. For example: The rate for helping place a 40×60 floor would be in the $300-$400 dollar range for a couple hours of work.

I’ve had hundreds of employees of my lifetime of owning businesses, I’ve learned a lot about having the right people given the current stage of a business. I know the type of people I’m looking for. Skill, talent, and experience is a lot easier to come by in this industry than good people with high standards and good character. I’m looking for the later.
